1,200 officials from the 34 Sectional Tax Directorates manage the payment of 302,787 overdue obligations.

Between January and May 2024, the DIAN carried out facilitation and control actions that allowed it to raise $18.4 billion.

The National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN), continuing with the control actions it has been carrying out since last January, took to the streets of the country to search, locate and advance, through calls, visits, summonses, seizures, kidnapping procedures and auction of assets, collection 109,722 taxpayers who have outstanding obligations with the entity for $3,595,551,053,009.

In accordance with the Collection Plan established for 2024 and within the framework of the strategy “Up to date with the DIAN, I serve the country”Between June 11 and 14, this special collection day is carried out in order to recover the portfolio through the execution of different procedures contemplated in the collection stage.

They are responsible for this work 1,200 officials of the 34 Sectional Tax Directorates, which have come out to manage the payment of the 302,787 obligations in arrears.

The DIAN has used information sources, such as the Single Business and Social Registry (RUES) and the electronic invoicing system to locate taxpayers with whom there are judicial deposits pending management, assets seized without seizure proceedings, as well as as well as those who have been criminally denounced for the crime of omission of a withholding or collecting agent, to summon them to appear and request immediate payment of tax obligations in the context of the criminal process.

And they will continue to be attended to as part of the daily activities carried out by the Collections work teams in the different Sectional Directorates.

In the period January-May 2024, the collection from DIAN facilitation and control actions, which are the tasks that the tax administrations must carry out, totaled $18.4 billion, meeting the goal by 106.6%, continuing the path of compliance that was established. has been achieved since 2022, when the annual compliance percentage was 103.5%, and in 2023 105.6% was met.

The management collection corresponds to the tax revenues that are generated as a result of the facilitation and control actions carried out by the DIAN based on the analysis and use of the information provided by those obliged to report exogenous information; tax returns and electronic invoice; as well as, the collection actions carried out on overdue obligations by taxpayers, responsible parties and customs users.
