The 2024 River Festival, held from June 5 to 10 in Montería, became a resounding economic and social success for the capital of Córdoba, according to the Economic Impact Report prepared by the Fenalco Córdoba Economic Laboratory. With an average net income of 1,370,000,000 pesos, the festivities proved to be a significant driver of economic and social activity in the region.

The report, presented to Mayor Hugo Kerguelén García, revealed that the festivities generated 1,000 direct and 743 indirect jobs, while the Street vendors, with a total of 700 participants, obtained an average income of 240,000,000 pesos.

Likewise, a record attendance of 50,500 people was recorded at the scheduled events, including the emblematic “Un Río de Fantasía” Comparsas Parade, which had 6,000 participants.

The hotel sector also benefited, with an occupancy rate of 77% and an average reservation rate of 86%, at an average rate of 197,229 pesos.

Formal commerce experienced a 20% increase in sales compared to regular weekends, and 20 companies were linked to the events.
