Bancando Los Tratos: an initiative to transform sports culture through good treatment

With the intention of generating a positive impact on the sports community, the “Bancando Los Tratos” Project was launched, an initiative that seeks to promote good treatment, mutual respect and cooperation in Santa Fe sports clubs.

The promoters of this project are Adrián “Chupete” Marini, former soccer player with vast experience in challenging situations; Cristian Sperati, Psychological Consultant and President of the “Emotional Education Civil Association”; Soledad Martínez, Lic. in Institutional Communication and expert in effective communication; and Julián Martínez, Councilor of the City of Santa Fe, who will facilitate speech and dialogue.

Under the prevailing need to address the challenges faced by athletes, coaches, fans and clubs in general, the initiative focuses on the concept of “good treatment”, a skill that we can develop to coexist in a calm and respectful manner with our families, friends, neighbors. The premise is to face and manage problems from mutual respect, establishing a sincere and empathetic dialogue, without harming others.

The initiative explores the meaning of “banking” as a symbol of identity, strength and passion.

It also explores the meaning of “bancar” as a symbol of identity, strength and passion, but highlighting the importance of defending our colors with respect and tolerance.

“We want to recover values, recognize roles and identify actions that promote better coexistence,” said Cristian Sperati. “The role of adults and the experience of those of us who have gone through similar situations can provide a different perspective to address problems constructively,” added Adrián “Chupete” Marini.

Speakers will address key topics such as emotion management, effective communication and dialogue as a tool to resolve conflicts.

“We all want to win, but to win we also have to know how to lose, that is why we are overcome by the illusion and hope of having a good coexistence and better competition, we start from respect for the institution, for authority and for ourselves,” he said. Soledad Martínez. “This project represents an opportunity to build a more inclusive, respectful and committed sports community with good treatment. We want to sow the seeds of change, promoting fundamental values that transcend the fields and take root in our daily lives,” concluded Julián Martínez.

The initiative invites all actors in the sports field to join this movement for good treatment. Because in sport, as in life, the true triumph is in how we treat each other.
