The extramural immunization strategy is being developed at the regional level, where the priority is to provide this coverage to older adults, children from 06 months to 05 years of age and people with reduced mobility.

Two weeks after the execution of the extramural vaccination promoted throughout the region by health teams, the Aysén region reaches 76% immunization coverage against Influenza with more than 41 thousand doses administered, while in vaccination against COVID-19, an advance of 17% is recorded in the target groups.
Home vaccination that has been valued by users of the public health network, as is the case of Mr. José Chávez Villarroel, residents of the upper sector of Coyhaique. “It seems to me that all this is very good, because one like this does not have to move, because then I do not have to pay for a vehicle to move and everything else, for me it is good that they come to vaccinate me here, because as it is, this disease issue, people should get vaccinated.”
Benefits and work of the health teams that was highlighted by Seremi Carmen Monsalve Gómez. “We are here with Mr. José, a resident of the upper sector of Coyhaique, who also has some travel difficulties, so this extramural vaccination strategy that teams from the CESFAM Alejandro Gutiérrez and Víctor Domingo Silva are carrying out in Coyhaique are fundamental to being able to bring these benefits closer to our community, and we hope that the rest of the community joins this campaign because we still have time to protect ourselves.”
For his part, the Director of the Aysén Health Service, Juan Pablo Bravo Quintana, called on the community to access this home immunization if they require it. “Prevention is essential, especially due to the high circulation of influenza that we have in the region. That is why we call on residents who have difficulties traveling to the vaccination points to request this benefit at their nearest health facilities. I also thank each of the officials who have participated in this process, because prevention is everyone’s responsibility.”
Finally, for those who are in the capital region, the nurse from the CESFAM Alejandro Gutiérrez Vaccination Duplex, Yasna Soto Chandia, invited people who have not yet been vaccinated against Influenza or COVID19 to come to the Alejandro Gutiérrez Clinic , Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and in the afternoon, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
