During the next long weekends you will also be able to donate blood

On Saturday June 15 and Thursday June 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Regional Hemotherapy Center will be open. In addition, next week, the fixed posts to donate blood will be open under different modalities.

The Ministry of Health invites all Neuquén residents to come to the Regional Hemotherapy Center (CRH) and the different fixed posts that are distributed throughout the territory to donate blood in the days before, during and after the long weekend. This allows us to have a stock of safe and reliable blood units for the health procedures that require it.

Being a voluntary, habitual and altruistic blood donor means donating blood of your own free will, at least twice a year, without receiving any type of compensation for it. It is estimated that a person who donates voluntarily can save up to four lives, since blood cannot be manufactured.

It is important to remember that you only need to be between 18 and 65 years old, weigh more than 50 kilograms, be in good health, request an appointment and show up with ID, not have donated blood in the last three months, not have tattoos and/or piercings with a period of less than a year, and not fasting. In addition, proper hydration the day before the donation is essential.

Likewise, the Provincial Hemotherapy Network recalled that blood donation is a process that is carried out with all the biosafety standards necessary to provide quality care.
