The judicial authorities are advancing in the investigations to establish the intentions of an individual who was traveling through the north of the city of Armenia carrying a pistol, two magazines and 25 cartridges.
The subject was surprised by agents of the National Police in Quindío at a time when they were carrying out prevention and control tasks in the Oro Negro sector.
The events occurred when in the middle of said work they required this person for a search, identification and background verification procedure, finding said elements in his possession.

In this way, they notified him of his rights as a captured person and after arresting him, they took him to the Immediate Reaction Unit, URI, to begin the due process of judicialization and thus leave him at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office.
In this sense, the 32-year-old man must initially respond for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying firearms, ammunition, parts or accessories.
The members of the public force indicated that some investigations are being carried out to try to determine what this individual intended to do with that weapon, which is also being subjected to ballistics analysis to establish if it has been used in any recent criminal act.
Regarding the seized pistol, it was learned that it corresponds to a 9 mm caliber Glock 19 Austria.
They highlighted the importance that this type of results has for citizen security in general, since other actions outside the law such as homicides, injuries, threats and thefts are prevented.
