San Luis Potosí, SLP.- The State System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF), provided support to two adolescents who are in residential care at the “Rosario Castellanos” Social Assistance Center, so that they could participate in the second edition of “Mis Quince en Los Pinos”, in Mexico City.
The general director of the State DIF, Virginia Zúñiga Maldonado, said that the instruction of the State Governor, Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, is to guarantee the right to recreation, culture and healthy coexistence, fundamental for the training and healthy development of children and potosina youth, so the teenagers celebrated their 15th birthday with an unforgettable experiencewhich included cultural, musical and artistic activities, as well as a dress test, makeup and even a waltz performed by the Galeón de la Marina group.
By participating in this celebration, the State Government reaffirms its commitment to the recognition and dignity of the rights of young people, ensuring their comprehensive well-being.
During the event, the head of the National DIF System, Nuria Fernández Espresate, was present; Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, head of the Ministry of Culture; as well as attorneys, directors of DIF Systems and Social Assistance Centers.
