The Regiment No. 8 “Chiloé” of Puerto Aysén opened its doors to receive the children of the upper secondary level “A” from the “Los Chilcos” Kindergarten and Nursery Room. This visit, designed to bring children closer to military work, began with a tour of the historical display of the machinery used in the construction of the Carretera Austral. Subsequently, the children went to the indoor gymnasium of the regimental unit, where a circuit of recreational activities awaited them, carefully supervised by military personnel.
Tatiana Torres, a kindergarten teacher, explained that this visit is part of the educational project on trades and professions in the sociocultural environment. “We go to Regiment No. 8 “Chiloé” as part of our trade and professional work, where the children have participated in exercises and have seen samples of machinery. We appreciate the welcome they have given us,” commented the educator.
The activity not only allowed the children to learn more about the work of the military, but also offered an entertaining day for educators and families, strengthening the relationship between the community and the regiment.
