A 35-year-old man with a repeated criminal record was arrested this Saturday morning in the Alta Córdoba neighborhood of this Capital, after escaping from a police checkpoint, after which residents of the sector attacked the officers with stones and bottles, it was reported officially.
It all started around 10 at Mariano Fragueiro and Espinel 770 when the uniformed officers wanted to identify Ezequiel Cicarelli, who apparently was carrying marijuana buds.
The suspect fled and threw the drugs, after which he climbed onto the roof of a house, where he was finally arrested.
At that moment, neighbors began to throw stones and bottles at the police, who fired a non-lethal weapon, managing to disperse the attackers.
As a result, a corporal was injured in the left ankle as a result of the impact of a stone, while an agent was bitten by a dog on the left calf. They were then transferred to the Police Polyclinic.
Two patrol cars were damaged.
