The Local Mayor’s Office of Suba led a crucial meeting between the community and the Urban Development Institute (IDU) to advance the construction of the long-awaited Cicloalameda Canal Córdoba, a large-scale work that promises to transform mobility in the town.
The project, contemplated in Contract 1650 of 2019, includes the construction of a bicycle route along the Córdoba Canal, between streets 129 and 170. This initiative seeks to provide a safe and efficient space for cyclists, improving connectivity and promoting use of sustainable modes of transport.
At the meeting, which included the participation of community leaders and representatives of the IDU, citizens’ concerns regarding the project were addressed. The Mayor’s Office of Subain her role as mediator, facilitated a space for constructive dialogue where different perspectives were listened to carefully.
As a result of the conference, it was agreed to form an inter-institutional working group that will be responsible for monitoring the execution of the work. This instance will allow the community to be informed about the progress of the project and to address any concerns that may arise in a timely manner.

The construction of the Cicloalameda Canal Córdoba not only implies a physical transformation, but also a process of citizen participation that guarantees the benefit of all the actors involved.
