Next August 4th will mark the sixth edition of the Bololó Series Crossing Challenge, titled ‘The Spirit of the Atlantic’, whose starting and finishing point will be the Solinilla recreational center.

It will be a mountain and road biking spectacle, in which its participants, in addition to competing, will be able to delight in the beautiful landscapes of the Department.

“We want this Atlantic Crossing to be one of the best in the country. The only thing participants need is desire, love for the sport and a good physique. This is a competition open to everyone,” express Jorge Reyes, President of Bolóló Cycling.

The Bololó Series Crossing Challenge will distribute more than 12 million pesos in prizes and will be contested in the Elite (open), Masters A, B and C, Ladies and Novice categories.

The Journey will consist of three routes: one of 62 kilometers, one of 45 and one of 20. The route will only be announced hours in advance to the participants.

The first category to start is the Elite, at 5:30 pm The others will leave every 15 minutes.

Each registered cyclist will receive a kit that includes an official t-shirt, hydration, food, official bag, numbering card, participation medal, accident insurance, chip, number for the draw and digital photograph.

Road safety for participants and spectators will be in charge of the Atlantic Transit Secretariat, which will have 47 guides for this event that seeks to encourage the practice of sport, promote tourism, connection with the environment and support programs such as ‘Atlantic by Bike’, of the Government.

“In this Crossing each cyclist has a challenge, some simply finish, others climb a hill and others do something different,” he pointed Erick Sierra, member of the organizing committee.

The organization hopes to have 500 athletes participate. Registration will be open until June 30.
