After the match between Vicente Pérez Rosales and U. de Concepción for the Chile Cup, the attacker spoke with MON. In the conversation, he revealed his astonishment at what his participation in the amateur team caused. He never thought he would see so many blue fans at the Chinquihue Stadium.
“I am very surprised by the number of people who came to support us. There were several blue fans. I am very surprised, proud and satisfied with what I experienced today. Very nice and familiar, it was beautiful,” he began, indicating the idol of the U.
“I never imagined it nor wanted it either. It was a moment of madness, I think I didn’t realize what it was until I was already involved, I had already said yes. But today I tell you that it was wonderful, I enjoyed it a lot. I lived up to it, with my family and the people of the U who also went,” he added.
It was 12 years of retirement
When asked about the level exhibited in Puertomontina lands, Diego Rivarola prefers to give said voice to the attendees. They watched his club’s 3-0 defeat unfold, but he feels he did not disappoint. He is 47 years old and one more is added.
“I’m not the one who can tell you that. But I played 70 minutes, I had some chances, several people congratulated me, the rival coach, the players on the field told me: ‘How do you manage to be like this?’. So I think I was up to the task of being 48 years old,” he concluded.
