The Francisco José de Caldas District University has registration open for the Teaching Contest, which seeks to integrate 87 new teachers from all over the country, this being an important contribution to the development of the Institution that strives for excellence and strengthening of its staff. academic.
Harold Castañeda, head of Teaching and Teacher Evaluation of the Office of Teaching and Teacher Evaluation, spoke on LAUD 90.4 FM ESTÉREO about the relevance and process of the ‘Public Competition of Merits for the Provision of Positions in the Teaching Staff Plant 2024’, as well as of the Unidistrict Certificate of University Teaching (CUDU), which seeks to offer a quality teaching experience and also enhance the professional growth of teachers by updating their knowledge.
“We are very happy to be able to make this job offer for the country’s pedagogical community. We even have international registrations, professors, for example, from Brazil who are very interested in being part of the teaching staff of our University (…) we are in a registration period that we started a week ago and, pleasantly, I can inform the community “That at this moment, in less than a week, we have 250 registrations for the teaching contest.”
On the other hand, he highlighted that the Unidistrict Certificate of University Teaching (CUDU) was strategically designed after a rigorous evaluation of the teachers’ needs and that it is also part of the teaching evaluation process. “We have precisely identified those needs, we as University professors, we need opportunities for improvement in the sense of the evaluation we carry out in our courses, in the way we interact with students and also in how we embrace the diversities that we encounter daily in the classrooms.”
For this reason, the CUDU is a certificate that offers a teacher training plan that will enhance pedagogical and interaction characteristics in the classroom in order to develop better evaluation processes regarding pedagogical activities with students.
