Autol hosts the 14th edition of its Storytelling Marathon

The XIV Villa de Autol Storytelling Marathon once again filled the school’s covered patio with dozens of stories told by children and adults. The event began at 10:00 a.m. with a chocolate and sale of plants from the scout group in the abroad.

At 10:30 the teachers led the proclamation, which this time was based on the opening of the Olympic Games. There was a parade with a guest who carried the flag, Nacho Herce. The director, Anabel, gave the opening speech. Next, some children arrived with the Olympic flag and then the person in charge of lighting the cauldron with the torch entered the venue.

The municipal music band participated, playing ‘The Wildcat’ in the entry and exit parade, the national anthem when the arrival of athletes was represented, and ‘Chariots of Fire’ when bringing the Olympic flag.

The mayor, Catalina Bastida, was in charge of telling the first story ‘What color is a kiss’, helped by 23 children who carried signs. The students, AMPA, the parish priest, Áncora, the scouts, the senior center, the municipal agent and many other people took the stage throughout a very intense day.

The day included sessions for babies from 0 to 3 years old and the special performance of several professionals: Légolas collective, Ana Griott and Vero Rilo. The stories took place in the morning and afternoon for all audiences and at 11:00 p.m., only for adults.

In the morning the awards ceremony for the III Literary Contest ‘And… how do you move?’ also took place. in which the provincial traffic chief, Beatriz Zúñiga, participated.

The General Directorate of Traffic collaborates with the four first prizes (bicycles and helmets); the Government of La Rioja, with tickets to the El Barranco Perdido paleoadventure park for the four seconds; and the Consistory, with school supplies for the four third parties.
