In the Miradores area there were musical shows, a varied gastronomic offer and entrepreneurs from the area. “Paraná was born here, in a town that began to be built from here up. The neighborhood has that belonging,” described Mayor Rosario Romero together with Vice Mayor David Cáceres.

Neighbors from Bajada Grande and from different parts of the city enjoyed a popular festival in the Miradores area, an emblematic neighborhood of the capital of Entre Ríos.

The proposal, designed to decentralize the celebrations for the 211th anniversary of the elevation to Villa de Paraná and the 170 years of having been the Capital of the Argentine Confederation, brought together hundreds of people who toured the riverside promenade within the framework of a proposal that included a varied gastronomic offer, entrepreneurs from the area and top-level artistic shows.

“Bajada is a special place in Paraná, because the city was born here in a town that began to be built from here up. The neighborhood has that thing of belonging; Those who live in Bajada proudly say ‘I am from Bajada’ and want to stay here,” said Mayor Rosario Romero.

The municipal president highlighted the work to improve the Miradores area, with the work of municipal staff and the head of the Municipal Unit.

In turn, Vice Mayor David Cáceres said that this proposal contemplates “reaching each of the neighborhoods and allowing each resident of the city to celebrate the 211 years of the city. “This month Paraná is telling its rich history and we want to celebrate with all the people of Paraná.”

Thanks from neighbors
Verónica, from the Bajada Grande folklore senior group, expressed her gratitude for including the neighborhood in the celebration agenda. “I love it, I think the neighborhoods need and deserve this,” she said.

The head of the Bajada Grande Inmaculada Corazón de María Explorer Group, Adriana González, highlighted the neighborhood festival. “It is a very great emotion, because it is talking about the beginnings of Paraná and for us it is very moving,” she said.

Susana Aragañaraz, director of the “Patito Sirirí” Garden, in Bajada Grande, referred to the exhibition to recreate the history of that educational institution. “We have the aprons that we have used since the beginning of the garden, she is 37 years old. Grandparents, parents have passed through our garden and then the grandchildren followed,” she indicated.

Present were the Secretary of Education, Culture and Citizen Coexistence, Nadia Bilat; the Legal and Administrative Secretary, Pablo Testa; the councilor, Enrique Ríos; the provincial deputy, Stefanía Cora, and officials from different municipal areas.
