On the morning of this Sunday, June 16, the Judicial Police, Dijín, reported on the development of a operation against drug trafficking that involves the organized armed group ‘Clan del Golfo’.

According to the Dijín, in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office and support from the Army, “through a search and raid procedure, half a ton of high-purity cocaine hydrochloride was seized.”

The narcotic was located on the route that leads from the municipality of Apartadó to Mutatá in the department of Antioquia.

The investigation showed that the stash “belonged to an invisible drug trafficker, partner of the organized armed group ‘clan del Golfo‘”.

The drugs were in transit to a collection site.

The Dijín investigators, supported by human sources, identified that alias Jhon “would be the driving force behind drug trafficking in the area and would have direct links with the ‘Carlos Vásquez’ substructure, which commits crimes in that part of the department.”

The cocaine seized was valued at “more than 4 billion pesos”, in addition, it was established that it had been brought several days ago from the south of Valle del Cauca, in several vehicles equipped with caletas.
