Havana, June 25 (ACN) The empire has once again listed Cuba in its manipulative report on human trafficking; outrageous maneuver of open war against Cuban medical collaboration, declared today Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic.

In his X account, the president called on Antony Blinken, Secretary of State of the United States (USA), and recalled that the Caribbean country maintains a policy of zero tolerance regarding any form of trafficking. of people.

Enough of the cynicism, Secretary Blinken, you know well our policy of Zero Tolerance to this criminal practice, said the head of state.

On the same social network, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, reiterated Cuba’s position on the issue and its zero tolerance policy.

The inclusion of our country in unilateral and arbitrary reports of the US government continues. They only intend to maintain and justify a criminal policy of economic asphyxiation against the Cuban people, added the head of Cuban diplomacy.

As reported by Prensa Latina, this Monday the State Department’s annual report on human trafficking was presented, which pointed out that the Government of Cuba does not fully comply with the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking.

It is not making significant efforts to do so, therefore Cuba remained at Level 3, the text stated.

It was explained that to justify Cuba’s rating, the report uses contradictory and hardly credible arguments in which it continues to distort and defame the work of Cuban medical collaboration for decades in more than a hundred countries.

Cuba maintained its policy of zero tolerance and in 2022 it prepared the update of the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Confrontation of Human Trafficking and the Protection of Victims (2022-2024), a fundamental tool in coordinated action between the State and Cuban civil society organizations to address this serious crime, which is pending approval by the Council of State.
