They renovate homes and shelters for women, children and adolescents in Neuquén

The Government Ministry made furniture purchases and other products for homes that house women, children and adolescents in a state of vulnerability. These investments are part of a maintenance and reequipment plan carried out by the provincial government.

The Minister of Government, Jorge Tobares, pointed out that “it is our responsibility as a government, to contain and collaborate in the integral development of people«. The official explained that a survey was carried out where It was revealed that there were “many shortcomings” so they advanced in purchases. “We want the stay of these people who are experiencing various problems to be as comfortable as possible.”

According to information from the government, the purchase of furniture (chairs and tables), white supplies (sheets, pillows and blankets), appliances, beds, bunk beds, mattresses, among others, was made. This action was developed in conjunction with the Administration coordination of the Ministry of Government, led by Pilar Corbellini.

The investment of the purchased products amounts to more than 90 million pesos. Its purpose is to replace furniture and new supplies for the Amancay and Conviviendo homes (adolescents), and for the Madre Teresa shelter (women). Progressively, they will be delivered to other establishments that shelter people in vulnerable situations.

The provincial Operations and Logistics director Virginia Magallanes pointed out that in addition to the “preventive maintenance works” carried out in the Child Development Centers, in homes and shelters, they are “also responding in the delivery of merchandisedry foods, fruits, vegetables and funds for wet foods.”
