Volvo Car Chile reaffirms its commitment to female leadership through the 2024 edition of the Executive of the Year award

This award highlights the fundamental role of women in management positions and in this edition recognizes those in the legal management of the country’s main companies, valuing their leadership in strategic decision making and team management.

For the seventh consecutive year, Volvo Car Chile is part of the Executive of the Year Award, thus reaffirming its commitment to the professional development of women in our country, promoting equal opportunities. The Executive of the Year 2024 award, organized by Mujeres Empresarias and Diario Financiero, aims to recognize women in senior business management who stand out for their excellence, management capacity, innovation, leadership and professional career.

Catalina Etchegaray, Marketing Manager of Volvo Cars Chile, and also a judge for this contest, commented: “This award reflects Volvo’s fundamental values, highlighting women who innovate, who dare to go further and who generate significant changes in society and companies. We support this initiative because we want to recognize those women who are leaders and references in the business field, imprinting their personal stamp on their work and inspiring more women to dare.”

For 2024, 8 finalists were chosen from more than 2,300 nominations of women who currently lead the legal management of the main companies in Chile. The decision was based on criteria such as track record, business management, innovation and leadership. The names of the finalists were the result of a thorough evaluation carried out by an internal committee of Business Women and Diario Financiero, and with the participation of the Minister of Labor Jeannette Jara, after an open campaign to nominate the candidates.

On this occasion, with more than 26 years of experience, Paola Cifuentes Miranda, Legal Manager of Anglo American, was the winner of this important award. Paola actively participates in the Executive Committee of Anglo American Chile, demonstrating her ability to identify contingencies and risks, as well as to propose and implement solutions in a creative and innovative way.

In this way, Volvo Car Chile is once again a relevant player in this award that recognizes the excellence of women in the country’s main business spheres. Her participation in the 2024 Executive of the Year award underlines the brand’s commitment to the empowerment of women, highlighting their achievements and actively contributing to the creation of an environment of equal opportunities.
