A Shocking traffic incident occurred yesterday afternoon in the La Plata town of Villa Elisa When a motorcyclist hit a car, he flew several meters and was left lying on the asphalt until an ambulance arrived and took him to a health center in the area.
The crash occurred on Arana Avenue, at 21 A Street and was recorded in one of the cameras of the Operations and Monitoring Center (COM) of the Municipality of La Plata, from where an alert was issued for it to be a ambulance of the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME).
In the image You can see how a white car, driven by a woman, turns on the turn signal on 21A. Behind her two motorcycles appear coming at low speed.. While the driver was performing the turning maneuver, a man in an orange t-shirt appears on the scene aboard a motorcycle, without a helmet, and at a high speed he crashes into the vehicle near the rear door on the left side.
Without slowing down or trying to avoid the car, the motorcyclist hits the car squarely and is thrown over it. four-wheeled vehicle that loses stability and almost ends up in a ditch on 21A Street.
The woman got out of her car and was the first to approach the motorcyclist who was left lying on the avenue. Additionally, she is seen taking her cell phone and calling 911 to report the accident and that there was an injured person. Upon arriving at the scene, the SAME mobile immobilized the motorcyclist and took him to the Regional hospital.
Section J of article 40 of the Traffic Law establishes among the traffic requirements that “in the case of a motorcycle, its occupants wear standardized helmets, and if it does not have a windshield, its driver wears glasses.”
Furthermore, in section S of article 77 of the same norm, 24,449, it is considered a “serious offense” is “driving motorcycles without any of its occupants wearing the regulatory helmet correctly placed and fastened.”
