Pullaro at the Rafaela TC: “We work to make the province of Santa Fe the national capital of sports”

Governor Maximiliano Pullaro was present this Sunday on the 7th date of the Road Tourism calendar at the Autodromo in the city of Rafaela. The provincial leader was received by the mayor of the aforementioned city, Leonardo Viotti, and took advantage of the opportunity to tour the pits, talk with protagonists and attend the tests of the different categories that complement the TC.

Also accompanied by the executive vice president of the Santa Fe Social Assistance Fund-Lottery, Daniel Di Lena, Pullaro assessed that “this is a very important event for the city, the province, the region and the country. It is one of the events that attracts the most people, generating a positive movement in tourism and economic matters. Furthermore, one sees entire families and groups of friends, all happy and enjoying a cultural and sporting event full of color and passion. We want to congratulate the organizers for the effort to make everything go as smoothly as possible.” Later, the governor assured that “it is an honor that they can come from all over the country to Santa Fe and that they can see what the iron passion is in the interior of Argentina. We, as a team, work to make our province the national capital of sports.”

Finally, Pullaro dedicated a message for Father’s Day wishing that “everyone has a great time, that they enjoy this special day with their children and their loved ones.”

In line with the governor, Viotti underlined “the challenge and pride that it entails for the Raphaelinos to host an event that is not only sporting but is also a party based on history that is projected into the future. “We are very happy with how everything developed because, in addition, it implies an important economic and tourist movement for the entire region.” It is worth noting that the mayor of San Vicente, Gonzalo Aira, was also present.

Gini’s first victory

The driver Esteban Gini, with Toyota, won this Sunday afternoon in the final of the Turismo Carretera, held at the Rafaela racetrack in Santa Fe, for the seventh date. Meanwhile, Diego Ciantini and Christian Ledesma, both with Chevrolet, finished second and third, respectively.

Gini remained in third position until the nineteenth lap, when he took advantage of a mistake by Ciantini and Ledesma and took the lead. He then resisted all of “Bochita’s” attacks to take the checkered flag in first position.

Ledesma had taken first place at the beginning of the race and had a good battle with Ciantini, who was a short distance away, but both got lost in the same corner, handing the victory on a plate to Gini.

After the victory, the winner expressed very excitedly that “there are many years of effort and one gets very excited.” “I am grateful to everyone,” remarked the Toyota driver in statements made to the press.

For his part, Ciantini regretted having lost first place and in that regard he noted: “The victory eluded us again, but we were very close.” For his part, Ledesma indicated: “I’m not happy with the result because I was winning the entire race, but we had a good weekend.”

Gini became the seventh winner this year in the Turismo Carretera, which had a different winner on all dates.

Another of the great beneficiaries of this date was the championship leader, Julián Santero (Ford), who stretched the lead over Juan Manuel Urcera (also from Ford) to 26.5 points, while Gini climbed to fifth place.
