The Peruvian team, which will be Chile’s first rival in the Copa América 2024is preparing to start this new edition of the tournament on the right foot.
Last week, the bicolor team played two friendlies to prepare for the duel with La Roja, one with Paraguay and the other with El Salvador, where they obtained a 0-0 and a 1-0 victory respectively.
In this context, Peru’s starting goalkeeper, Pedro Gallese, compared his country’s draw with Chile’s victory against the Guaraníes. “Chile beat Paraguay and we tied with Paraguay. They are soccer games, Not because Chile scored three against Paraguay we are less than them”, he stated on Radio ADN.
“Paraguay played him, it affected Chile a lot. It didn’t reach uson that side we stay calm and well It’s going to be a nice game against them. in the Copa América,” added the experienced goalkeeper.
The former Alianza Lima also referred to the other rivals of the group and assured that La Roja “It’s not going to be the only difficult match in this Copa América. I think we have a fairly even group and it is going to be very difficult to be there,” he sentenced.
La Roja will face Peru next Friday in its debut for the Copa América 2024, at 8:00 p.m. Chile time at the AT&T Stadium.
