´Pony´Osorio, current national road champion, achieved his fourth stage victory of the season after surpassing his teammate, Adrián Camilo Bustamante, and the NU Colombia runners, Rodrigo Contreras and Jhonatan, at the finish line. Chaves.

The day, which began in Paipa, and featured rain for much of the race, had several escape attempts, of which the only one that was consolidated was that of four cyclists: Richard Huera (Best PC), Juan Castillo (Life Power), Carlos Julián Quintero (Avinal) and Carlos Gutiérrez (Orígenes Coffee), who managed to have more than three minutes over the leader’s lot.

The escape was hunted after passing through Alto del Sisga, and that was where the GW Erco Shimano riders attacked and managed to achieve their second stage victory in the current edition of the Vuelta a Colombia (Bustamante won on Saturday in Chivatá).

In the individual general classification, there were no significant changes, so Rodrigo Contreras (Nu Colombia) remains in front, followed at 42 seconds by Diego Camargo (Forte Petrolike – Androni Giocattoli) and 46 seconds by Adrián Bustamante (GW Erco Shimano ), which deducted time from the leader thanks to the time bonuses obtained at the finish line.

The Vuelta a Colombia 2024 will continue on its path this Monday, June 17, with the dispute of the fourth stage, which will take place on a 168-kilometer route, between Cota and Mariquita.
