“The rains are going to increase and we have to be alert,” said Mayor Carlos Pinedo Cuello.

The Santa Marta Health Secretariat declared, through resolution 005 of June 14, 2024, the hospital yellow alert until June 30 of this same year, due to the rainy season.

With this measure, hospital plans for emergencies are activated, verifying aspects such as the evaluation of risk scenarios, Hospital Committee for emergencies, call chain, reserves of medicines and supplies, areas of care and organizational expansion of personnel in services, among others. .

In the event of an eventuality, the public and private institutions of the district hospital network must immediately report to the Emergency Regulatory Center (CRUE).

Mayor Carlos Pinedo Cuello, regarding the recent rains, assured that work is being done in all localities to evaluate and support the affected community, and recalled that the emergency lines are available to report any contingency and follow the recommendations of the District Mayor’s Office.

“I want to give some peace of mind to citizens that we are working everywhere. We are not going to leave them alone. The rains are going to increase and we have to be alert, all citizens have to be alert. Have complete peace of mind that the administration will be at all points where an emergency arises,” said the Mayor.
