Fight during street party leaves two seriously injured in Santiago de Cuba

The wave of violence continues to increase on the Island, this despite the fact that the Castro authorities do everything possible to deny it. On this occasion, a fight that occurred during a street party in Santiago de Cuba ended with two people seriously injured.

According to the independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labradathe incident occurred during the night of Saturday, June 15.

“The violence continues in the streets of the city, apparently there are two young people with serious injuries, who were taken to the Joaquín Castillo Duany military hospital,” the communicator indicated.

According to the publication, a source indicated from the hospital that one of the injured people had to undergo surgery due to the severity of their injuries.

Likewise, he points out that another person may have died during the fight, but that this could not be confirmed specifically.

The journalist shared several images of the fight, which show several people in the middle of the brawl confronting each other. Some of these images appear to show several of those involved with knives, which coincides with the independent communicator’s statements.

“There are images that I cannot post due to the seriousness of the incident, but the young man was left lying in the street bleeding and you can see a stab wound in his back,” Mayeta Labrada added.

Likewise, he indicated that a large blood stain was left as proof that a fight took place in that place.

“The blood clot that is seen on the road was where he was lying, until he was rescued at the nearest hospital,” he wrote.

Among the comments, several Internet users regretted what happened, pointing out that the streets of Santiago de Cuba have become very unsafe over the years. Likewise, they could not help but point out that more and more young people are becoming involved in these violent events.

“Today’s youth definitely don’t know how to have fun. I’m not saying that these are things that didn’t happen before, but as far as I remember, in my time it was something that I never saw”; “But youth is unbearable, well. Nothing justifies violence. They are not capable of taking a machete to mow down their patio or the front of their house, but they do take it to go to a party” and “I was there, and how painful it was to see that child so young like that…There is a lot of violence, You can’t even go out anymore,” were some of the comments.
