This is a painstaking project to digitize funds from the Cine Club Cubanacán, which he presides, and it is a work that has been undertaken by the Savage Archivists, young people who defend their mastery of scanning and digitization at the Film School of the Basque Country in San Sebastián, Spain.

According to their experience, they have found in Cubanacán the most complete collections in the country: films, film posters, important catalogues, and records the history of Cuban film clubdom.

Valuable materials that were believed to have been lost and that had been made by film buffs for four decades have already returned, based on legal procedures between the Provincial Film Center and the Provincial Registry of Cultural Assets.

The central idea of the Savage Archivists is to create here in Santa Clara the National Fund for Cuban Amateur Cinema, which will require very specialized attention for its conservation.

He told Radio Rodríguez Esperanza that this Fund will then be at the service of those who need to consult it selflessly, outside of marketing ideas, but based on scientific or social events, or the holding of workshops and research.
