Havana Cuba. – With the departure last Saturday of the Guantánamo-Holguín train, the Eastern Railway Company (EFO) fulfills the projections it established for the summer stage and the second half of 2024.
Yasnay Sánchez Robert, Director of Operations of the regional entity, explained that the train in question will circulate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, benefiting residents of several municipalities in the provinces of Guantánamo, Santiago de Cuba and Holguín.
Likewise, the board specified that in the second fortnight the Santiago-Manzanillo and Holguín-Antilla trains will begin to work, as the repairs to wagons and locomotives in the workshops are completed.
According to Sánchez Robert, the Eastern Railway Company will maintain the services of the Guantánamo-Santiago trains, Mondays and Fridays; and the Holguín-Las Tunas coach, from Monday to Saturday.
