The Entre Ríos Symphony Orchestra (OSER) gave a new presentation on Saturday and attracted a large audience. Works by Sergei Prokofiev and Ludwig van Beethoven were performed, as part of the 2024 season that began at the beginning of March.

Regarding the presence in each presentation of Entre Ríos residents of different ages and localities who attend for the first time to listen to the OSER, the artistic director Luis Gorelik considered that it is a valuable action “that opens the possibility for different groups in the province to come and share Our activities”.

The concert took place under the direction of Gorelik. In the first part, the pianist Eden Agranat – Meged (Israel) participated as a soloist, who together with the Symphony performed the work of Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2. “He is an extraordinary pianist and despite his youth, he is 22 years old, he is already projecting himself as one of the best of his generation. Having him present in our season is a luxury. His interpretation of this concert is at the level of established pianists,” highlighted the director. The soloist’s performance was applauded by the audience who then enjoyed an encore. Finally, as part of the evening’s program, Symphony No. 7 Op. 92 by Ludwig van Beethoven was performed.

For the first time

Since April, the Secretariat of Culture of Entre Ríos has been implementing the program For the first time in the concert, which allows the attendance of people from Entre Rios who have not previously had the opportunity to see and hear the OSER.

Thus, residents of Viale, Ubajay, San Salvador, Gualeguay and Hasenkamp have already participated in different concerts. On this occasion, a delegation from Villa Elisa attended, made up of a group of students from cultural workshops and music teachers from that municipality.

Among their opinions regarding the show, the neighbors expressed: “Wonderful, without words. The concert pianist played beautifully and the orchestra couldn’t even speak of. “We are grateful to give us the opportunity to appreciate the Symphony,” said Susana, 63 years old.

Meanwhile, Agustín, 35 years old, one of the accompanying teachers commented: “The proposal of being able to come with students was excellent. “We are beyond grateful for the opportunity.”

While Fernando, a drum and percussion student, considered that the concert was “spectacular, beautiful, worthy of admiration.” The concert was held at the Cultural and Convention Center of the La Vieja Usina province.
