Rolando Figueroa expands his front of neutrality for the 2025 elections: “We are opening our arms”

The governor Rolando Figueroa He said in Cutral Co that the political space he leads is dedicated to the construction of a “neuquinidad front” and that there they will receive all those expressions, where there is a point of coincidence. In this sense, He did not reject working, for example, with Mayor Ramón Rioseco.

Figueroa arrived in Cutral Co on Monday holiday to inaugurate the expansion of the hospital guard of Medium Complexity, which receives the population of the two cities. A work inherited from the previous management and that was completed.

The governor of Neuquén He seemed comfortable with the mayors Ramón Rioseco (from Cutral Co) and Claudio Larraza (from Plaza Huincul), and not only took the opportunity to leave his position regarding the financing authorized for the continuity of public works, but also referred to the application of the road tax and his political work.

Less than a week after the Senate’s treatment of the Base Law, Figueroa spoke about the issues that impact the province such as the chapters referring to hydrocarbons and tax reform.

He also responded about a probable political scenario and the cConstruction of a space for the legislative elections of 2025.

Figueroa said that he is dedicated to building a front in defense of Neuquinidad. «We are inviting everyone who wants to participate to defend against the attacks of the different national governments towards our province,” he said when answering whether Mayor Ramón Rioseco of Cutral Co. is taken into account in this scheme.

“There we are opening our arms and where there is some coincidence parameter we work in this sense,” he said. Next to him, the Cutralquense communal chief smiled at the question.

Before these concepts, Figueroa had praised the Cutralquense’s decision to move forward with the project to collect the road tax to fuels.

The Bases Law and the impact in Neuquén

Refering to Base Law, Governor Figueroa explained that they observe some of the issues that will have an impact on the province. In this regard, he mentioned the chapters referring to hydrocarbons and tax reform, especially the taxability of income tax.

“We always state that we are against the restoration of the income of the 4th category. For us it is a lose, lose and lose,” she clarified.

He explained that throughout the map of the country, among the Patagonian employees there is a segment that has a higher income because they have a higher cost, which is not deductible in income tax. This generates “inequality” if it were to be restored for Patagonian workers.

Besides, generates a transfer of resources from Patagonians with respect to other workers. “We ended up financing public goods and services that the national State has to provide to the northern provinces,” he said. He exemplified that for every 100 pesos contributed, less than 30 pesos reaches Neuquén.

“The provincial coffers are not nourished either“The reestablishment of the tax reform for us is losing, losing, losing,” he reaffirmed.

Another of the topics on which he expanded was the so-called road tax. He analyzed the national context with the paralysis of financing for public works and the interruption of fund transfers to municipalities.

In this scenario, he said that: «We from Neuquén end up paying the value of the fuela tax and it ends up only financing the transportation of the inhabitants of the Federal Capital.

Along these lines, he said that he should applaud the communal leaders who with “courage” expressed themselves in favor of confronting the public transportation, mobility and pavement. These decisions were supported by the deliberative councils. “They approved a rate that serves to finance the spending of the people of Neuquén,” clarified Figueroa.

This is how he made reference to Rioseco from Cutralquen and Claudio Larraza from Huincula. However, the latter has not yet raised the project to the Deliberator, which will happen in the coming days.

The expansion of the guard of the Medium Complexity hospital

The local hospital guard was expanded by 250 square meters and 195.70 meters were renovated. At the inauguration ceremony, the governor Rolando Figueroa highlighted that the execution of this type of works in Argentina requires a lot of understanding and coordinated effort.

In this scenario he placed the mayors of Cutral Co, Ramón Rioseco, and of Huincul, Claudio Larraza; to the councilors; and to the deputies who made it possible to obtain financing, first for the purchase of medicines and then for the infrastructure.

“It allowed us to face everything we do,” Figueroa said and then took a moment to talk about the application of the road tax. “Some of us make mistakes and protest when we have to finance what is precisely what the people of Neuquén do,” said Figueroa.to those who raised criticism of the rate.

For his part, the director of the hospital, Gastón Zúñiga, asked the community to enjoy the space and also take care of it. He recalled that the guard will not be attended by order of arrival but by the Triage system. He emphasized his gratitude to all the sectors that work in the place because for two years they had to adapt to working in a contingency.
