An application against gender violence, winner of the Audi Creativity Challenge

How to innovate in the social field to improve the well-being of people and their environment? To respond to this challenge, more than 586 teams made up of students from all over Spain have participated in the Audi Creativity Challenge. An initiative to enhance creativity and innovative attitudes among Spanish adolescents. The HER project of the Rioja Compañía Ingeneras Adolescentes (CIA) team has been the winner chosen among the 10 finalists, in an edition with record participation.HER is an application to fight against gender violence that offers users security extra. It includes telematic control that can be installed by court order on smartwatches of victims who have a restraining order, psychological help resources and the possibility of connecting to an external mini-camera to prevent sexual assaults, among other services. Its creators have contacted specialist advice. As a prize, the winners will travel to Silicon Valley to take a creativity course and a pre-incubation program. There are already around 12,000 students in ESO, Baccalaureate and Intermediate Training Cycles of all the Autonomous Communities who have responded to the innovation challenges posed in the nine editions of this competition that encourages innovative thinking among young people.
