Jenni Rivera’s mother is moved to tears in front of the singer’s posthumous star in Hollywood

Yesterday, Thursday, July 27, the legacy of the singer Jenni Rivera was immortalized with a posthumous star in the Hollywood walk of fame.

The emotional ceremony took place in front of the Capitol Records building, where friends and family gathered to honor the memory and artistic career of the “Diva of the band.”

The interpreter’s children, Chiquis, Jacquie, Jenicka, Michael and Johnny, were the ones who unveiled the plaque, accompanied by Gloria Trevi. Although everyone showed emotion for this family achievement, there were also moments of tears, especially when the interpreter’s mother, Rosa Saavedra, collapsed on the star, visibly affected, starring in one of her most moving moments.

The artist’s five children attended the event. Together they uncovered star number 2,783, which will forever bear the name of Jenni Rivera inscribed in bronze.

The image of this moment was widely circulated on social media, generating mixed opinions.

In a video shared by the influencer Chamonic3, Doña Rosa is seen holding a photograph of Jenni, uttering words to the sky through tears while the audience supports her with applause and a mariachi begins to play when she gets up to leave.

Doña Rosa’s attitude unfortunately divided opinions on social media. Some users expressed annoyance towards her, while others defended her pain, arguing that losing a child is one of the most painful experiences someone can face.

This reaction is due to those who closely followed the story of the Diva, since it is known that the relationship between Saavedra and her daughter was marked by conflicts for years.

In the past, Rosa showed public support for Trino Marín, Jenni’s ex-partner and convicted of sexual abuse against his own daughter and niece. This support caused a distance between the famous woman, who felt that her mother did not support her in her search for justice. In addition, tensions arose related to the management of Rivera’s career and financial matters, discussions that continue to this day, now between her children and their grandfather, Don Pedro Rivera.

Following the tragic death of the “Mariposa de Barrio” singer in December 2012, Doña Rosa stated that the event left a mark on both her and her family.
