The attack generated a high degree of indignation and neighborhood tension in the town. For this reason, the Armed Institute, to avoid any outbreak of violence, chose to deploy a strong security and control device in the town for several weeks with uniformed and plainclothes units.
The actions carried out by the investigators, together with the statements of witnesses and evidence obtained, made it possible to determine the identity of the alleged aggressor, who had hidden in Álava. Finally, on the morning of March 9, he was located and detained.
