Within the framework of the Departmental Risk Management Council, Governor Adriana Magali Matiz confirmed that 11 municipalities in Tolima are on red alert due to the arrival of the rains.

Heavy rainfall has generated road emergencies in corridors of the secondary and tertiary networks, affecting the mobility of passengers and cargo.

To deal with this situation, machinery from the Ministry of Infrastructure has been deployed in more than 20 municipalities, making it necessary to operate on roads in the south, west and center of the department.

“In the last three days, the roads have been attended to: Ibagué-San Bernardo, Rovira-Roncesvalles, Rioblanco-Herrera, which have been affected by landslides and landslides,” Governor Matiz explained.

Likewise, the governor of Tolima reiterated that care and prevention of floods and emergencies must begin from home, with awareness and citizen awareness.
