Pista Tourism: Chas from Concord confirmed his return to Class 2

Matías Chas from Entre Ríos will begin a new stage within the Turismo Pista starting on the fifth date of the 2024 season, which will take place next weekend at the San Jorge racetrack. The Concordia driver will return to the category to make his debut in Class 2 in a joint project with the Ayala family.

Currently in Class 2 of National Tourism and with a history in the minor and major division of Turismo Pista, Chas accepted an offer from Agustín Ayala to race with the Volkswagen Up that the Lanús credit used recently.

The VW unit will maintain the attention of Jorge Muñoz’s Curly Racing, while the engine will be in the hands of Enrique Bustos and Carlos Morier will be responsible for engineering.

“Very happy to return to Turismo Pista and now do it in Class 2. I am very grateful to Agustín Ayala and his entire family for the proposal they approached me with, I am going to race with the Volkswagen Up that he used and the attention of Curly Racing. The engines will be from Bustos and Carlos Morier will be as engineer,” said the native of the Citrus Capital.

And he closed: “The intention is to have continuity with this project, so I am hopeful that it will be able to function well from San Jorge to start on the right foot with the entire team.”
