The Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds, Carolina España, has opted this Tuesday for “Andalusia as a link between Ibero-America, on the one hand, and Europe and Asia on the other”, during a meeting held in the context of the VII Ibero-American Congress organized by the Business Council Alliance for Ibero-America (Ceapi), which is held in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia). Carolina España has recalled the “historical and cultural” ties of Andalusia with Ibero-America, and has pointed out that “we aspire for Andalusia to be the hinge of the door that makes it easier for Andalusian businessmen to go to Ibero-America to sell their products and services and, at the same time , which channels the arrival of large Ibero-American investors to our land”. “Andalusia is being transformed hand in hand with the business sector,” explained Carolina España. “The Andalusian Government is a firm defender of public-private collaboration, because we are aware that we need companies to transform our economy.” The Andalusian counselor has referred, in this sense, to the “economic transformation that Andalusia is experiencing in recent years, with a growth in the economy greater than that of Spain as a whole, leading the decrease in unemployment and the increase in the number of self-employed , creating more companies than the country average and surpassing Madrid in companies, and with business confidence indices higher than those of Spain as a whole. Carolina España has pointed out that the key that has allowed her to reach this point has been “stability.” “The Andalusian Government is offering companies political, budgetary and institutional stability that did not exist before. We are generating trust and legal security and offering moderation, and all of this is allowing us to generate a favorable ecosystem for investment.” The Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds has also referred to the tax reform promoted by the Andalusian Government, “which has allowed us to go from being a fiscal hell to the second most fiscally competitive autonomous community, only behind Madrid” , as well as the administrative simplification measures adopted: “We want to become a land where it is easy to invest.” Spain, finally, has highlighted the role of the Andalucía Trade agency, “the one-stop shop for companies in their relationship with the regional administration, and on whose governing council businesspeople are represented.” “This Tuesday, an aid decree was approved for 244 million euros in direct incentives for companies,” said the counselor. “It is companies that create wealth and generate employment. And for this reason the Andalusian Government wants to go hand in hand with companies, and turn Andalusia into one of the best places to invest.”
