The Municipal Institute of Employment and Business Development of Bucaramanga -IMEBU-, enthusiastically announces its participation in the Women’s Americup 2024 FIBA ​​U18, which will take place from June 17 to 23, 2024 at the Bicentennial Coliseum.

In this prestigious sporting event, where promising young American basketball players will gather to compete and show their talent, the IMEBU is proud to present a business exhibition made up of 10 local entrepreneurs.

These entrepreneurs, selected for their innovation and commitment to the economic development of the region, will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their products in the surroundings of the Bicentennial Coliseum throughout the duration of the tournament.

Within the framework of the Development Plan “Bucaramanga Avanza Segura” led by the mayor of Bucaramanga, Jaime Andrés Beltrán Martínez, and through the Municipal Institute of Employment and Business Development -Imebu-, reference is made to one of its six thematic axes: * Economic Development and Employment*.

This axis includes strategies to encourage entrepreneurship and job training programs to improve competitiveness, in addition to creating spaces that serve as a showcase for entrepreneurs in the region.

Juan Camilo Beltrán Domínguez, director of IMEBU, highlighted the importance of this initiative: “This is an ideal setting for our entrepreneurs to make themselves known to a wide and diverse public. The Women’s Americup 2024 FIBA ​​U18 will attract visitors from different countries, which represents a unique opportunity to showcase the quality and creativity of local products,” he emphasized.
