Pinar del Río.-Stages and theoretical sessions for collective learning once again make the Entre curtains Festival a space to dream under the magic of theater.
25 years after its creation, this event that arose with the aim of bringing together the best amateur groups of Vueltabajo to make their work visible, confirms how much passion continues to arouse one of the oldest artistic manifestations that exist.
The Golden Age theater, the Hermanos Loynaz Center for the Promotion and Development of Literature and the headquarters of the Hermanos Saíz Association, have been the venues for presentations and specialized conferences this time.
Works aimed at both children and adults made up the program of an event that grows and is renewed with each staging.
Yudaisy Rivera Gómez, provincial methodologist of the Cultural Houses Center explains that Entre telones is also a space to categorize, recategorize and contribute to the improvement of the movement of amateur artists and their instructors.
“It is an event for reunion, to recognize the best exponents in the theatrical manifestation and also for the community and new audiences to know what is done in the province,” he says.
With that unmatched magnetism that, according to many artists, implies direct contact with the audience, the Pinar del Río festival has once again exuded commitment and dedication.
Meticulous down to the last details, plays, monologues, oral narrations and clowning, drew applause and stirred emotions from an audience that the rain could not prevent from attending the meeting with the 14 groups convened on this occasion by the festival.
“This event has shown us that there is a renaissance of theater, which is being strengthened from the base, from the system of houses of culture,” considers Yudaisy and affirms that “if our fans have such a vocation, we can think that our theater is growing.”
