Starting today, Cuban government authorities will visit the central province of Sancti Spíritus to evaluate the main economic and social programs of the territory.
Recently, the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba awarded Sancti Spíritus the headquarters of the central event for the 71st anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
For this decision, the stability of that province in the fulfillment of the main tasks in the economic, political and social spheres was taken into account.
Sancti Spíritus presents indicators that place it at the forefront of the country, and develops a system of work and coordination of tasks that guarantees the direct and systematic link of the party and government structures with the communities.
Likewise, it maintains timely monitoring and control of compliance with the economy plan and the budget.
Among the province’s achievements, the Political Bureau highlighted the stability in wide-ranging social programs related to education, sports and health.
He detailed that the infant mortality rate in the province is 4.7 per thousand live births at the end of 2023, and remains at 2.7 to date, the lowest in the country.
