Would you like to apply for a scholarship in Germany but you don’t have knowledge of the language? If yes, then this is your chance. In conjunction with the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the National University of Tucumán (UNT), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will provide free German training. The only requirement is to be a UNT student or researcher. The courses begin on August 5, end at the beginning of December and you can register through the following link.

The activity is coordinated by Esther Marhofen, DAAD representative in Tucumán. The purpose of these classes is for attendees to gain knowledge that will allow them to meet the requirements to apply for a German scholarship. For example, the “ISAP” exchange program with the University of Cologne, a proposal offered by the DAAD that requires a minimum level in the language. The free German courses this semester will be held in person at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters (Avenida Benjamín Aráoz 800, San Miguel de Tucumán) and consist of three levels.

– A1. 2. This is the second phase of level A1 started in the first half of this year. It is intended for those who had some contact with German. Classes are scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays starting August 5. Each meeting will last one and a half hours.

– A2. Requires prior knowledge of German at level A1. It consists of an intensive course of two weekly classes of three hours each that will be given on Mondays and Wednesdays starting August 5.

– B1.1. It is the first part of level B1 (intermediate level). Knowledge of German A2 is required. Classes will also be held on Mondays (two and a half hours) and Wednesdays (one and a half hours) with a schedule to be confirmed starting August 5.
