The Federal Prosecutor of Santa Fe, Walter Rodríguez, requested the investigation of the former head of the local Delegation of the Federal Police (PFA) in Santa Fe, Guillermo Gallowhom he points out as the author of the crimes linked to corruption: passive bribery, embezzlement, failure to fulfill the duties of a public official and abuse of authority.

What they accuse the former head of the PFA in Santa Fe of

For the Federal Prosecutor, Gallo – who was appointed to head the Delegation on November 4, 2022 and resides in Paraná – was part, as the perpetrator, of a series of crimes in which his second in line actively participated. of command, Deputy Commissioner Leonardo Benítez.

Benítez was prosecuted last April with preventive detention for having benefited a singular prisoner: Juan Ignacio Surisa drug financier who was a partner in Leonardo Fariñathe baggage man who was part of the structure of Kirchnerism, although he later ended up reneging and denouncing the political space.

Suris also had high exposure when he became a boyfriend with the Uruguayan star Mónica Farro. The financier broke his relationship with Farro and settled in Esperanza. He mended his relationship with his wife and alternated between the gym and financial advice. In November of last year he was arrested by order of the federal court of Bahía Blanca for leading a trout invoice plant to sell VAT. He was transferred to the Santa Fe Delegation of the PFA, where he quickly got along with the bosses.

Barbecues and pre-sales with access to the Santa Fe Official Casino

As soon as he arrived at the Santa Fe Delegation as a detainee, Suris caught the “wave” that there was to pass his stay without problems. He agreed with the bosses to pay monthly money – which a woman carried in his name every month – in exchange for unusual benefits: from barbecues for prisoners and officers, the purchase of air conditioning for the dungeon and free access to the Casino de Officers, where food was plentiful on long nights well watered with various drinks. There was no shortage of girls who came to the Delegation and visited Suris, without paying attention to the time, much less if it was visiting day.

The Prosecutor recalled in his request for an investigation that the complaint against the heads of the Delegation was activated through an anonymous call that was ratified by department personnel in the judicial file. One of the witnesses said that Suris handled a lot of dollars and that he had agreed with the two bosses on the sum of 1,500 and 2,000 dollars per month for each one for the benefits. Life in the Delegation was so relaxed that in one of the notebooks seized by the federal justice system, the payment of money made by a cousin of Suris had been recorded, like a kind of black accounting that recorded the contributions of the detainee “with the signature of those mentioned.” Suris moved as he wanted in the department, to the point that in March he was photographed by the personnel investigating him – also from the PFA and under the orders of prosecutor Rodríguez – on the balcony of the Officers’ Casino, smoking and chatting with two people, without custody of any kind.

For the Prosecutor’s Office, there are more than enough suspicions to call Gallo, who is currently in the Superintendency of Professional Development, to which he was sent after the Suris scandal.

PFA Santa Fe: a delegation with history

In 2021, Marcelo “Lechuga” Lepwalts was sentenced to 4 and a half years in prison for having provided cover for a regional drug trafficker whom he had to investigate with his group of collaborators. The complaint came to light in 2018, when Lepwalts was in charge of the San Martín Street Delegation. Also in 2021, the Federal Oral Court of Santa Fe sentenced Mariano Valdéz, a commissioner who was head of the PFA in the capital of Santa Fe, to 1 year and 10 months in prison for having simulated a shooting on the Buenos Aires – Rosario highway to hide the crime. amphetamine trafficking, according to the Prosecutor’s indictment.

It did not take long for the Delegation to be in the news again: the Suris scandal ended with the deputy chief imprisoned, the PFA beheaded and its former Chief about to appear as a defendant.
