After singing the Argentine National Anthem and performing the religious invocation, the promise of loyalty to the flag will be taken from the students of different educational institutions in the Capital.

Then, the commander of the V Mountain Brigade, Ricardo Fresta, will take the oath to the trained troops. The events will end with the traditional parade.

The date was established by law 12361/38 in honor of someone who died in 1820 in the city of Buenos Aires, in the most extreme poverty, forgotten by his fellow citizens who were struggling in the first civil wars that left the country in mourning. Provincial and municipal officials took the pledge of loyalty

The lieutenant governor Antonio Marocco and the mayor Emiliano Durand They took the pledge of loyalty to the flag from 4th grade students from different educational establishments. Marocco led the events at the Hogar Escuela N°4660 Carmen Puch school in Güemes, while Durand did the same in schools in the northern area.

Simultaneously, 400 children from the Brigadier General Juan Antonio Álvarez de Arenales, Kingdom of Belgium, President Julio Argentino Roca and Almirante Brown schools, also expressed their commitment to the national flag, in a ceremony held in the Vélez Sarsfield neighborhood, organized by the Independence Association and which had the support of the municipality, through the Coordination of Neighborhood Affairs, in charge of Pablo Marcial.

In an assembly hall with a large attendance of parents, family members, teachers and school administrators, Marocco was accompanied by the 1st vice president of the Chamber of Deputies, Veronica Saicha.

At the Hogar school facilities, when addressing the students, Marocco highlighted Education as one of the pillars of the provincial government’s management. “It is a public service that can be provided in two ways: through the State or privately, to provide tools to you that are the present and the future,” he highlighted.

Then, the lieutenant governor added: “I want from my heart to greet you and ask you to take care of the flag, which is an act of patriotism and loyalty to our Argentina and our Salta. You will continue with the legacy of Belgrano and that will make our country and our province great, you are going to express the Salta of the future that we all want,” he concluded.

On the other hand, in the Casona de Castañares, Emiliano Durand took the promise of loyalty to the flag from 277 children from the René Favaloro, Monsignor Carlos Mariano Pérez, Alba Coronel de Pereyra Rozas and Pedro Palacios schools.

In the first instance, the flags of Argentina and Salta were raised. Then the verses of the Argentine National Anthem and the March to Malvinas were sung, by the Municipal Music Band “May 25”.

Later, a wreath was placed at the foot of the monument to General Manuel Belgrano, to give way to the taking of the promise to the students present, by the communal chief.

The ceremony ended with an artistic show of the Folkloric ballet “Triunfo”, made up of neighbors who attend classes in that municipal space in the area.
