From June 18 to 21, the National Council of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) meets in Cienfuegos, marked by an extensive program of activities led by young creators, who held an exchange based on relevant topics for the association.
In the presence of Meivys Estevez Echevarría, first secretary of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) and Lizette Martínez Luzardo, vice minister of the Ministry of Culture in Cuba, the AHS membership analyzed the work projections for the coming months.
During the meeting, the members of the national board spoke about the program of activities for the summer and the need to bring young art to urban and rural communities throughout the country.
Yasel Toledo Garnache, president of the AHS, announced the proposals for the “Teacher of Youth” award and for the “Kingdom of this World” scholarship, ten new creative projects from different artistic manifestations were approved.
Meanwhile, they reiterated the necessary expansion of cultural projects by partners in educational institutions, the participants insisted on greater articulation with the institutional system of culture and the UJC, as well as amplifying the scope of the communication campaign “El “Art Unites us” from different formats and digital platforms.
The National Council of the Hermanos Saíz Association will reach the mountain communities of Escambray with artistic presentations, a visit to the headquarters of the “Los Elementos” Theater and as a culmination they will ascend to Pico San Juan, the highest elevation in central Cuba.
