Young Journalism Contest called in Camagüey

Camagüey, June 20.- The Union of Journalists of Cuba (Upec) in Camagüey calls for the Provincial Young Journalism Contest “Yurislenia Pardo Ortega” In Memoriam, to honor this colleague, who for more than a decade in which she practiced Journalism He received several awards and stood out for the quality of his materials on Radio and in the newspaper Adelante.

The contest has the objective of promoting the participation of students and recently graduated journalists in the contests organized by the Upec of the territory; as well as distinguish the quality of the materials published in the different press media.

The admission period for submitting the works closes on July 22 and journalism students and professionals from the Camagüey press who have graduated up to two years, with works published from the 1st, may participate. from September 2023 to July 20, 2024.

The categories to compete will be Printed Journalism (written press and news agencies), Radio Journalism, Audiovisual Journalism, Hypermedia Journalism and Graphic Journalism, in the variants of photography, infographics and other graphic productions.

The sample to be competed must be delivered at the Press House and the Jury will be made up of three professionals under 35 years of age from different media outlets, who will present the prize on August 12 in greeting to International Youth Day.
