In a joint operation between the UBIC (Basic Criminal Investigation Unit) and the DITRA DECAS (Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Special Operations), Amaury Alonso Brun Pérez, known as “Chicle”, was captured. This individual faces charges of qualified and aggravated robbery.
Alias “Chicle” has a criminal history of approximately 2 years. His role was to coordinate logistical activities related to the theft and subsequent sale of stolen motorcycles in the departments of Meta and Arauca.
During the raid, various items were seized, including master keys, motorcycle parts, a metal gun supplier and chemicals. In addition, a motorcycle of Venezuelan origin was found in poor condition. Alias “Chicle” must complete the preliminary hearings that will determine if he must comply with a measure of deprivation of liberty in the prison. This action represents an important step in the dismantling of a criminal network dedicated to motorcycle theft in the region.
