The LGBT pride march is already around the corner, as there are practically three weeks left before members of the community, groups, allies and more companions meet at Morales Park on Saturday, July 6 in a march to demand their recognition and full respect for their rights as people of sexual and gender diversity.
During the so-called “pride month”, various activities are carried out in the capital of Potosí, some free and others with some economic recovery cost, and at El Sol de San Luis, we have prepared some so that you can attend them as a member of the community or not; there you go…
Cinema Los Bravo: LGBT Cycle (June 11 to 25)
During the “pride month”, the municipal Ministry of Culture in the capital of San Luis Potosí, has prepared a series of cult movies about the LGBT movement, which will be projected at the Municipal Palace from June 11 to 25.
Health Days for the LGBT community (June 18 and 25)
According to the program of the municipal government of San Luis Potosí, on Tuesday, June 18 and 25, health sessions will be held specifically for members of the LGBT community at the Municipal Palace, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Workshop “Coloring with Threads” (June 19)
Next Wednesday, June 19, José Hilos and Ángela Rodríguez will be teaching the “Coloring with Threads” workshop, a painting and embroidery activity so you can design your own themed “tote bag” in commemoration of “pride month.”

Talk about pride recognition photography (June 19)
Taught by Franco Alfaro, for this day, at 7:00 p.m., the talk “The evolution of queer photography and its new paradigms” will be taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Art; entrance is free.
Vogue Femme Workshop (June 20)
Vogue is a stylized form of “house dance” and comes from the 80s; evolved from the “ball culture” of Harlem, New York; This became popular when Madonna’s “Vogue” video appeared in 1990 and when it was shown in the documentary “Paris is Burning.”
On Thursday, June 20 at 6:00 p.m. the Vogue Femme workshop will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art of San Luis Potosí, it is aimed at all types of sexual dissidence; No previous experience is needed; Admission is free, but with limited space.
Pedestrian crossing pint (June 20)
As part of the pride month activities, the pedestrian crossing of Tomasa Esteves and Avenida Venustiano Carranza will be painted with a beautiful rainbow color, in its fight to make visible and normalize the perception around the LGBT community. The activity will take place at 11:00 p.m. to avoid as little traffic as possible, and there may be spectators.
Mac Umbrella / Diversity Night (June 21)
If you like catwalks, you can’t miss the one that will be organized by Vórtice Model Agency with an LGBT theme; This event is aimed exclusively at people over 18 years of age and space is also limited.
There will also be a DJ at the event and if you’re up for it, the ticket costs 80 pesos and will take place on Friday, June 21 at 7 p.m. at the facilities of the Museum of Contemporary Art of San Luis Potosí.
Don’t miss the movie: Pride, Pride and Hope (June 21)
Casa Fronda invites you to a special function for LGBT Pride Month. The Art Commission has prepared the film: Pride, Pride and hope. Furthermore, because it is Lambrusco grape day, it invites you to come with a bottle of this varietal, to enjoy the cinema and the wine.

This book tells multiple stories that become teachings to help us be more tolerant, question ourselves, and observe the world with different perspectives; The stories are designed for the understanding of children.
