At the closing of the activities for the Week of Awareness of Abuse and Mistreatment of the Elderly, the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy, together with provincial institutions, organized a fun meeting in which a large number of older adults participated with their families in the Manuel Belgrano Cultural Center.
On this topic, the director of Older Adults, Mirta Humacata, stated that they are concluding the activities to raise awareness about abuse towards older adults, “from the Directorate of Older Adults we work all year on the issue of good treatment of older adults. all adults and older adults. To close this cycle, we organized a meeting of different institutions in the city with an exhibition of workshops with the aim of achieving greater awareness, reflection and empathy for older people.”
Next, Mirta Humacata indicated that through this type of meeting adults and older adults can show all the activities they carry out during the year, “I want to thank all the institutions that accompany us such as PAMI, La Casa del Jubilado, the CPV Santa Ana, students of the gerontology career, as well as provincial institutions with which we interact permanently.”
