After 7 p.m., passage through the middle of the road will be enabled.

The Lucas Córdoba Bridge, which constitutes the main passage from the capital to Banda del Río Salí, will remain closed today, tomorrow and the day after so that the Provincial Road Directorate can carry out a series of maintenance works.

“When the grasscutter is working, you will not be able to pass. It is a road machine with teeth that is used to remove the pavement. In this case we will remove five centimeters of old pavement, to replace a new layer of the same thickness,” explained the Director of Highways. Marcelo Nazurin an interview with LA GACETA.

The official highlighted that the works will be carried out from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., until Sunday, and that after that time a passage through the middle of the bridge lane will be enabled.

In addition to the resurfacing, horizontal demarcation work will be carried out, that is, a renewal of road lines and signs. These maintenance works constitute a joint investment of $120 million.

Alternatives

During the times in which the works are carried out, the residents of Banda del Río Salí and the capital will have to look for alternatives to get from one city to the other.

The first option is to access via the Ingeniero Barros bridge, on Perón Avenue, which connects the capital with Alderetes and the Benjamín Matienzo airport. In that case, the detour would imply going north if the Lucas Córdoba bridge is taken as a reference.

The second option would be to go south of the Lucas Córdoba bridge and cross the Salí River over the Route 9 bridge, located at the access to the San Cayetano neighborhood of the capital.
