The movements of Talleres, Belgrano and Instituto: what reinforcements they are looking for, casualties and rumors – Monte Cristo News

The Copa América dispute, which begins this Thursday with Argentina against Canada, forced Argentine football to reorganize its calendar and also to change its usual form of dispute, taking a one-month break.

The 2024 Professional League stopped after the dispute of the fifth date and will return with the sixth day on the weekend of July 20.

In this context, all clubs face a transfer market that they describe as “strange and difficult.” The reasons? It will last too long, since it opened on June 1 and will run until August 30, at 8 p.m., after the 12th.

This means that institutions are still observing the landscape and trying to find what they need to improve their squads in a complex context: no one will want to give up their best players to direct competitors and everyone hopes to make a sale abroad.

With the exception of the Premier League, the Europe 2024 transfer market officially opens on Monday, July 1. England, meanwhile, opened last Friday, June 14. The deadline to make transactions is August 31.

The people of Cordoba, calmly

The first thing to say is that although several First Division clubs have already presented new reinforcements, the Córdoba teams have not announced anything officially at the moment: there are no new faces yet.

“All the clubs are looking and there is little,” Luis Artime, president of Belgrano, summed up perfectly.

It is estimated that the Pirate will add five additions.

“Belgrano is going to be strengthened, because today there is no competitiveness. We don’t have two players per position like we always had. We are going to try to bring players who are fit to play. It is going to be a difficult market, the country is going against the reality of other countries. There are many players who do not plan to play for certain teams but rather the possibility of growing economically,” said Artime.

In the Celeste, the departure of Matías “Caco” García has already been confirmed and defender Gonzalo Maffini is also leaving (to Colón). While Alex Ibacacha and Lautaro Pastrán will not be taken into account.

On the Institute side, president Juan Cavagliatto announced that “two or three” players will arrive, in specific positions.

They are looking for a goalkeeper before the departure of Marcos Peano and also a midfielder.

“We are talking all day with ‘Fede’ (Bessone) and Juan (Cavagliatto) about the reinforcements. It is going to be a long and complex market. I don’t think many will come. Those who come will be to enhance what we already have,” said Dabove.

One of the players who could leave the squad is Guido Mainero, who will not be taken into account and is looking for a club.

Finally, on the Talleres side, they are looking for an area forward who will come to compete with Federico Girotti and Cristian Tarragona, from San Lorenzo, is one of the options. There are also efforts for Atlético Tucumán’s left-handed striker, Joaquín Pereyra.

“We are going to bring 5 or 6 reinforcements who know Argentine football well and are ready to play. We are looking for forwards and an offensive midfielder,” explained DT Ribonetto.

As for the casualties, a sale of the Paraguayan Ramón Sosa is expected and Nahuel Bustos would end up leaving, as President Fassi warned. There is interest from Racing.
