The twelve work holidays for 2025 in La Rioja

The Rioja Labor Relations Council, chaired by the Minister of Economy, Innovation, Business and Self-Employment, Belinda León, has proposed this Friday, the twelve work holidays for the year 2025 in La Rioja. Each municipality will determine the two remaining work holidays until reaching the fourteen annually.

The twelve established work holidays are the following: January 1, January 6, April 17 (Holy Thursday), April 18 (Good Friday), April 21 (Holy Monday), May 1, June 9 (in replacement of October 12, which is Sunday), August 15, November 1, December 6, December 8 and December 25.

The proposal has been agreed upon by all members of the Council and has also collected the opinions of citizens through the Participation Portal of the Government of La Rioja.

According to Belinda León, the objective of the different parties is to “improve La Rioja, assuming the new challenges of today’s society, where factors such as new technologies, demographic changes, globalization, environmental protection and green employment , have an obvious impact on labor relations.

The counselor was accompanied in the session by the general director of Employment, Cristina Salinas; the deputy director general of Social Dialogue and Labor Relations, Pilar Simón; the head of the Social Dialogue, Labor Relations and Social Economy service, Ana Contreras; the head of the Labor Relations section and secretary of the Council, Ramona Valverde; the territorial director of the Labor and Social Security Inspection of La Rioja, Lucía Moreno; and representatives of the Fer, UGT and CCOO.
