In development of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan, the troops of the Eleventh Brigade of the National Army located and destroyed in a controlled manner two new laboratories for the processing of coca base paste in the municipality of San José de Uré, in San Jorge, Córdoba.

The laboratories were in the sectors known as Vista Hermosa and El Pavo and were owned by Clan del Golfol, so this action by the authorities represents a blow to the illicit income of the organized armed group.

The two structures contained 310 kilograms of scraped coca leaf, 275 gallons of gasoline, 75 gallons of coca base paste in process, 22 cans, 7 shovels, ammonia and ACPM, among other supplies and materials for the manufacture of the alkaloid.

The two laboratories produced 17 kilograms of coca base paste monthly, whose value would be greater than 52 million pesos.

With this action, “the flow of money that finances criminal actions against the Public Force and the civilian population of the department of Córdoba is limited, and the recovery of areas that have been deforested for the construction of these illegal infrastructures is achieved.

The National Army will continue to carry out military operations, with the firm commitment to combat the illicit economies of criminal structures, as well as other factors of instability present in this region of the country,” the institution indicated.
